Some amazing big game trophies are mounted on the walls of Foster's Big Horn Cafe in Rio Vista, CA. The owner bought this place in 1953, then died in 1963 after mounting and displaying many trophies on the walls.
This coffee shop/bar boasts one of the largest trophy collections ever as a result of big game hunting years back before animal rights came to the forefront -- or Planet of the Apes...The owner met Ernest Hemingway in Africa on a safari.
While I am saddened about this type of hunting, I am amazed at the beauty of the animals and feel overawed at viewing the different species.
